Dengue - Bye bites - Repelente de mosquitos


Dengue fever is an acute viral disease, produced by the dengue virus, it is transmitted by the Aedes aegepty mosquito or the Aedes albopictus they are developed where water stragnates and in objects that are not usable. Dengue infections are caused by 4 serotypes called DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, DEN-4, these viruses are related to the Flavivirus from the flaviviridae family. The dengue virus has increased during the past decades. More than 2500 millions of people and 40 % of the world population are in risk of getting the dengue disease. The OMS calculates that between 50 and 100 millions of infections are caused by the dengue virus.


• High fever – up to 40 C°
• Severe headaches – Intense headaches
• Pain behind eyes- retro orbital pain
• Swelling of the lymph nodes
• Severe joint pain
• Severe muscle pain
• Fatigue
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Skin rash

In some cases symptoms are atypical in children:

• Heart rate reduction
• Swelling of the lymph nodes
• Maculopapular rash
